[Lizard Lad]

Powers:

Attributes : He has incredible strength and agility. Jarod can easily lift and move 10 tons. He is also blessed with the agility to make the worlds greatest gymnist jealous. He can slip through almost any tight area and move with a pure grace. This along with his tail becomes a powerful weapon in and of itself.

Scale Armor : Lizard Lad has a skin covered in a lair of shiny green scales that cover his back and sides. They are very resistant to damage, though not completely invunerable. His under side is the same scale though yellow in color. His head becomes the form of a Monitor Lizard crossed with Dragons of myth.

Teeth : His teeth are very sharp so he has to be careful what he bites. They are very hard and resistant to breaking. They are not nearly as bad when not in his fully changed state, but he still has to be careful.

Claws : His claws allow him to climb some surfaces. They are razor sharp and he can cut through most things that are not hard metals and solid rock.

Scale Color : When he focuses he can darken his scales to help him hide, though he can not change the pattern or the actual pigment, only the shade.

Tail : Nough said. Those with the proud linege of having a tail can understand. It is a trait of pride and merit to be given the gift of a tail. It is not fully prehensile, but he can perform some interesting task with it. It also gives him a remarkable balance. His tail is his proudest ablity, he has learn to use it in many ways including a fight and playing with a certain boy he likes..


Limitations:

Phobia :The boy is deathly afraid of spiders. Freaks out and is can barely even think..

Scaled Apperance : Another problem is that he can not turn off the scales completely. So the best he can do for normal shopping or travel, and in school is to shift do his more human side, he loses the claws on his feet and hands. His head looks mostly human, but still has some lizard features and he can not lose his tail, though he doesnt mind that part.

Rage : The last and most difficult of limations is his Rage. Friends find it hard to deal with Lad when it starts to become Rage. He can not comtrol it, and friends rational or not can only allow it to run its course. He is not in his mind, nor really the Lad that everyone knows.

Cold : This is one of the fastest and most damaging forces for Lad. His Blood is not completely as a reptile, but there is something that causes his body to become sluggish and immoblie quickly if fasted with extreme cold. It can handle a cold day on the quad, but people that know him can tell that he is sullen and down, he just does have his spunky happy self to him. If it is indeed a really harsh cold day he avoids outside, though he can brave it for a short time. Zero tempertures generally shut him down fast and he need help.

Skills:
A skilled martial art student, but still seeks further training. He also is a wiz at the Computer making it very rare for places that he cannot get into due to his deftnes and computer skills..

Physical Appearance:
His day to day form is actually quite cute, but he has some stares due to the fact that he is covered in scales, though they are small and do not detract from his appearance. He generally wears skin tight shirts that are short sleeved, with pants that have a special tailor hole for his tail. He has cool looking horns that stick up through his hair and ridges along his head that actually grow a bit with his grows his claws and turns his head into full form. His hair also disappears when he assumes his full features. His tougne is not forked like a snake. Though people seemed to be shocked by that. Clearly appears to have a mixture of a giant monitor lizard and a great reptile of legend and myth.

Personality:
He is a beach boy at heart. He offen seeks pools and places to swim. He loves to get wet. He tend to be mostly laid back, but can have a shape temper if some are picking at him. He is very sensative to people that do not like the way he looks. He is longing for a boyfriend, but scared that no one would care for a boy with scale.

History:
He was born at the beach and loved the sun, the sand and the water. He was a happy boy growing up with very few cares in the world. Until the day that his parents wanted him to start learning to be responcible. They encouraged him to help a lady that had moved in to an old house down the road. Yard work would do him some good they thought. He was young and willing to do just about anthing that she asked. She was kind and always had treated and was willing to let him sneak off and play at the beach with his friends when he should have be working.. The truth is that she was a scientist bent on proving her theoriest. She was kicked from her lab for practicing against all morals of humanity. She knew in her heart she could provide a human better means of survival and lead to a newer and better human. The drinks and snack she gave him where filled with the drugs she was using, but they did not seem to have a strong enough effect. In an act of desperation she prepared an extreme formula form a mixture of reptiles and invited his to stay the weekend. His parents agreed and he was excited. That first night she drugged him and place him in a cage of lumber. She injected him and was ready to monitor the affects. The results were horrific. The pain raked over his body as he transformed, the shock of it sent him in out of his young mind into a blind fury and he easily broke from the cage and destroyed her make shift lab and her. He escaped as the house burned to the ground. As his mind clearned he roamed the streets for weeks alone. He was a 12 year freak. He hide around the docks and in the dunes until night when he could move about more free. Finally one day he was brave enough to return home he found that his parents to be very accepting. They had a very hard time, but their love for Jarod over came their fear of his new form. Soon Jarod was sneaking to the beach, though offen at night to avoid people making a seen, but being on the beach it did not take him long to figure out he like boys.. When time came for school the parents sent him to the new school figuring he was have a lot better chance of being accepted and cared for, plus he may learn to really use his gifts..

Electrophasing ((Born to a shaman family, his powers are mystical))
As it stands Josh does not understand his real powers or what they will become. He nows that he can create amounts of energy in the air, but it is beyond that. He can feel it and shape it. The energy takes the matter in the air and area from around him and he can arrange it into the form he chooses. The energy has a way of disrupting the other energy in the area, so he has even learned to create shields and block even some mental attacks if in short enough range.

Creation
Josh uses the enery to mold and shape things he desires. Poles, rope, buckets. Anything simple he can do and even some minor working items. Example is he could make a basic gun, but not the bullets. They would be more complicated and he doesnt have that kind of control.

Energy distruption.
He can create fields of his energy that will damage computers and other electronics. He can shape it with a force of will into a tangible shielf to deflect incoming energy and projectiles. Though the harder the blast the weaker he would become. His fields have been known to disrupt any energy based powers that would come across the field. Not stop but distort and give incorrect info even.

Energy Bolts
He doesnt have a lot of range, but with focus he can focus the energy into what seems to be electrical bolts that arc out and strike his target. They are not as pretty or formed as others bolts, but they get the job done.

Small Localized Storms.
He newest and most demanding power is electrical storm. He can continue to release energy into the area to the point that a localized an small electrical storm builds. This is very demanding and tiring for him, but he is still practicing. He has no control over the small storm, but the lightning produced is very dangerous and real.

Limitations:
He is working to gain more strength, but the power is very demanding on him. The larger the required energy the weaker he gets fast. This he is learned to do better, but at this point he has to be careful. The sharpest and biggest problem he has is in forming new items can not affect living matter. While it seems an incredible amount of power to transform matter with the energy it is most offen temp change. He has to spend a lot more time and energy to make the transformation perm.

Skills:
Josh knows he way around a computer. He is also a skilled Gymnist.

Weapons/Gadgets:
Only what he creates.

Physical Appearance:
He is a pretty boy. He is not at all controlled or acts that way, but a many girl and boy have had instant attraction for Josh. He is small in frame, but a tight body. Blond hair adds to the boys charm and package. He likes polos, but also plain white tees. His jeans offen are black, though he has been known to wear cargo pants.


Personality:
His looks people take to begin opinion of his personality. He plays it off, but he knows he could have a date any time he wanted. Problem is that he wants it to be for the right reason. He is still a virgin and really not sure that sex is all that it is cracked up to being. Being male he has urges, but due to his looks and past he has learned to become very careful. He has a sharp wit, but only in jest, he doesnt like to hurt others even to be cute.

History:
Working the history, he was born to a powerful shaman, but found and brought to PP from Lad. Sister and he were born from the shaman and he felt the powers were better shared than controlled by one. So the spirit split and the sister is the Seer and Healer and the brother was the Warrior and protector. So getting to the history soon.

Welcome to the boards, and thanks for your reader character submission. I have a soft spot for heroes with scales.

I noticed that you listed Pride High as your squad. ISC squads have a maximum of 5 members. However the actual gay-straight alliance will be a separate entity that won't have this limit. Pride High already has the maximum number of members (five) for a squad. At the very beginning of the comic, Pride High will be the only gay/gay-friendly squad. However, that may change in the future .

We are taking a look at reader submissions for a 6th main character, but I can't give more details than that at this time (spoilers and all).

That is totally cool, I honestly wasnt sure, and really didnt want to shoot for the other two groups. I think Lizard is just excited to be in the Alliance, so that is fantastic..Little shaky on the name, in fact I like Zaeriak for a name, but did so to super..

I have really always had a scaled character in my heart, but never had the chance to express him, just seemed the time, and what could be a better place no matter what the future brings..
